Fellowship Village celebrates Grandparents' Day!
For Immediate Release
September 10, 2005

The Staff and Residents of Fellowship Village celebrated Grandparents' Day on Saturday, September 10 th in a grand way! With blue skies and a cool breeze the day could not have been any better. Fellowship Village welcomed an estimated 400 guests which included residents, family members and community visitors. The day included clowns complete with face painting and balloon art, a magic show, farmers tent, an antique car show and fun foods, just to name a few. Guests had an opportunity to work on projects in an intergenerational craft tent which was made possible thru funding from the Bernards Township ASSETS program. Officer Hall of the Bernards Township Police Department was in attendance to offer DNA screenings for children while Carol Noel from the Bernards Township Health Department provided an interactive fishing game which was developed to enrich and encourage relationships between adults and children. The Liberty Corner Fire and First Aid Squads and the Basking Ridge First Aid Squad also participated, bringing trucks and equipment for all to see and touch. Children learned what it felt like to be engulfed in a bubble thru equipment which was obtained through the Bridgewater Children's Museum. The day was a success and a great time was had by all! Make sure you don't miss next year's festivities… when Fellowship Village will celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary!
